The Special Horseman Connection, a volunteer organization, was created in 2018 to begin raising funds for individuals with special needs to participate in equine activities. These activities are expensive and not often covered by insurance. With extra funding, people will be able to participate in activities that will change their lives, using horses to improve endless aspects of their lives.

Our mission is to increase the opportunities for people with special needs to learn about horses, realize the benefits of equine activities and participate in group and individual riding activities such as, but not limited to, riding, camps and showing.

We seek to provide education and services to all persons with special needs, but focus funding on those close to home in Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
